I have a question about this new TNT series _Witchblade_. The commercials running remind me of a Mercedes Lackey book -- the one about the sword in the BY The Sword series. I know this new series is based on some comic strip, which is apparently chicks in leather bikinis, drawn, um, larger than life, yeah that's the euphemism.... But I'm wondering if the comic has any connection to the Lackey book (is it Kerowyn's sword? Is Kerowyn the sword? I seem stuck on the Kerowyn association, but its been a long long time since I read the book). The part that keeps ringing in my head from the commercials is the line "She was born a warrior, but became so much more..." I somehow don't think they're referring to the Cop who gets to wear the tool, but the tool itself. And the weapon/tool/blade has a life and a will of its own, which already seemed very much of the Lackey book.... Does anyone else see this? Does anyone know the answer? Should someone be letting Misty know that TNT is making bucks off her concept? Unless, of course, its vice versa.... Happy Monday!
