I will contact the nominators tonight (I don't have the adresses here) concerning the schedule and hope the exact schedule can be announced at the end of this week. If possible we will put _Illicit Passage_ last (i.e. February) so that people have enough time to get the book. On how to get _Illicit Passage_: It is out of print but Mysterious Galaxy has at present 10 copies available for sale (18 were already sold int the past to list members). Contact Maryelizabeth (publicity@mystgalaxy.com) to order the book. If there is further need I suppose another bulk order could be placed to Alice Nunn. Australian list members could probably get copies directly from Alice Nunn. Maryelizabeth, what do you think? I want to urge everybody who wants to participate in the BDG to order the selected books NOW. The reason the books are selected so far in advance is to give everybody the opportunity to participate, including those outside of the US, including those in the bookstore diaspora in the US. Use the time. We put quite some effort into checking the availability of the books. Nonetheless, it is only a snapshot of the present situation that can change any moment. So again, use the present opportunity. As there were several messages with respect to ordering problems in the last months I depart from past practice and explicitly recommend Mysterious Galaxy. MG offers a 15% discount on book discussion titles to list members. By all accounts they are friendly and fast. Contact Maryelizabeth (publicity@mystgalaxy.com), she will help you. Concerning the email this weekend with respect to subscription information for the list: the link at the BDG website was already updated in the past but apparently at one of the schedule modification this change was lost. It will be corrected when the schedule is updated in the next days. The correct link is http://www.feministsf.org/femsf/listserv/index.html . There are a lot of broken links on that page that might irritate readers, but the correct subscription information can be found at the end of the page. So when I saw it had been reprinted I eagerly re-read it - but was just as disturbed second-time-round! What did you think overall? it sure is thought-provoking! To address two quick things: 1) Please order from the store at mgbooks@mystgalaxy.com, or orders@mystgalaxy.com. My email address comes to my office, and may cause a delay in responding (my office is not located at the store). 2) There would have to be strong evidence of a significant number of interested buyers beyond the copies existing at the store for MG to commit to another bulk buy. We would be happy to do so, but we would have to know we would be able to move the copies. That said, I'm really looking forward to this and the other selections. :) Especially WAR FOR THE OAKS.
