nicola, thanks for posting your _parable_ review. and heather, thanks for
sharing your findings about the different depictions of fear and monsters
in SF by men and women. it makes a sort of intuitive sense that women
might respond to monsters with identification, rather than fear, just
because the position of the Other is a familiar one.
