Haven't been paying a whole lot of attention; got back from Readercon to
126 posts, and am trying to clear them. So you'll understand if this
response seems a bit off base, but Nancy Kress's next novel starts from
the premise of children being extremely scarce due to falling sperm
counts in men. Heard Nancy read from it in Toronto a few weeks ago. She
lamented a little that the research on which she based the promise is
being proved to be not quite accurate, but the novel's written now. I
think it's due out next year.
