I'd suggest that you take a look at the stories in Pamela Sargent's two
new Women of Wonder anthology's Women of Wonder: The Classic Years and
Women of Wonder: the Contemporary Years. You might also want to check out
the short fiction of Pat Cadigan and Nancy Kress
