reproduction and childrearing

Dear Mala,
        I thought Ethan of Athos by Bujold had some interesting points about
children & reproduction. Male-only society which reproduces without
women at all. Males do all the childrearing which is actually considered
a value to society. What a concept. Hope this helps. Janet
