Hi,
I'm new to the list, not an academic, but love reading SF. I'd not read
any Tepper before, and took "Grass" on holiday with me. It was OK, but
seemed to cram in too many bits of sub-plot and to meander on forever.
Some of the ideas were quite interesting, but I reckon the book could
have been reduced by a third and the pace tightened up a bit. Still, it
was OK for a holiday read.
