As a white man who lives in Detroit (and has for 20 years), and is
attempting to figure out how the world will react to a (potential, as of
now) child of European and Filipino stock, I agree completely.
Verhoven probably thought he'd throw two or three minorities in there
for flavor...I can't remember: does Heinlein actually go into the ethnic
make-up of his characters?
