Yes, I also was disappointed by "Half the Day is Night" in comparison with
"China Mountain Zhang." I think I recall hearing somewhere that she'd
written "Half the Day" first but sold it second, a fairly common occurence
that could explain a lot. I could be wrong about this, though.
