I've been told that the publishing order is reversed: Her first novel was
_Half the Day Is Night_, but it didn't sell until _China Mountain Zhang_,
actually her second novel, did.
(Unless I'm confusing the story with Linda Nagata. Unless they're both in
the same situation.)
